Hello world!
My name is Jin Kim and I am from South Korea. I am
currently working at DePauw University.
I earned my bachelor and master's
degree at Korea National University of Education. My
major was Social Studies Education back then. After
I got the master's degree, I went to Peabody at Vanderbilt
University as a doctoral student, and then transfered
to Indiana University, and changed my major to Instructional
Systems Technology.
I have been working at the Instructional Consulting office
at IU School of Education for two years as an instructional
consultant, workshop instructor, and database server
administrator.
The IC office specializes in consulting
with faculty in areas of course design, technology
integration, and instructional innovations. My role
as instructional consultant is joining an instructional
consulting team that works with School of Education
instructors to integrate technology into the
curricula of their courses. Projects are varied, ranging
from just-in-time consulting with walk-in clients to
extensive, team-based development
projects including web site creation and courseware
development. I also managed database server called
EvalOnline and administered lots of evaluations
related to education courses.
After that experience, I joined Information Services Department at DePauw University as a Multimedia Development and Support Specialist.
Multimedia Development and Support Specialist works as part of an instructional technologies team working with faculty members and student interns to develop digital curriculum and instructional support materials. I am working closely with instructional technologists in the University¡¯s Faculty Instructional Technology Support (FITS) program, Student Technology Support program, technical training, and the curricular and training pieces of the Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP).
For anyone who wants to see more detailed information about me, online resume is available. It's PDF format (Acrobat) and about 76kb size.
